A huge "thank you" to Back Bay Vet's Dr. Beth Waisburd for speaking to us for over an hour tonight about a variety of helpful pet first aid tips. Over 35 Pawsh customers were in attendance and Balki was kind enough to let Dr. Waisburd demonstrate some first aid techniques on him. We learned about everything from heimlich maneuver to heat stroke to seizures.Dr. Waisburd mentioned the articles on the Dr. Foster & Smith Website as a useful resource for learning about common pet health issues and remedies. But she stressed that first aid should be used only as a first response to an emergency and should always be followed up by a visit to your vet.
